Looking for Volunteers to take Photographs of Army/Marine Corps Marathons

TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) has reached out to our group for volunteers to take photographs of the Army Ten Miler and the Marine Corps Marathon. If you are interested, please contact me for more information about the events, as well as about how to get press passes for the Marathon.

About TAPS: Our mission is to care for the families of those who have lost their lives in service to our country. Every year, TAPS participates in the Army Ten Miler and in the Marine Corps Marathon. This year, they will have 70 running in the 10 Miler and 350 in the Marathon. All our runners run to honor a fallen hero. In many cases, it's their own husband, son, daughter or friend. There is even a children's fun run with TAPS kids running to honor their parent.

Here are the events and the requirements. If there are more people than slots, we would be happy to have them along the route of the MCM to catch our runners as they go by.

Army Ten Miler (ATM)

Saturday 8 October 6:00PM-8:30PM - One photographer at our pasta dinner. Typically, all the families and runners attend, along with a General who is the keynote speaker.
Sunday 9 October 7:00AM-Noon - Three photographers to cover the start of the race, the finish line and the tent activity.

Marine Corps Marathon (MCM)

Saturday 28 October 10:00AM-1:30 - One photographer for the Kids Fun Run
Saturday 28 October 6:00PM-9:00PM - One photographer for the pasta dinner (same as above)
Sunday 29 October 7:00AM-2:30PM - Three photographers (same as above)
