I only attended on Saturday and wish that they had more hands on photo classes, didn't think much of the keynote speaker's address. I know he's a real interesting guy and I think his presentation could have been better. -
The event was excellent! I got plenty of creative ideas to experiment on over the next couple of weeks. The photo exhibit was very interesting and encouraging. It would be nice to see some of our photos in next year's exhibit!

The first hour could have used some more examples, like actual photos exemplifying each of the techniques (and maybe counter examples). The hands-on section was a lot of fun. -

This was an informative class on the basics of composition. Addtionally the members offered good tips and techniques they use when taking pictures -

Windy, no balloons except tethered at sunrise. Somewhat disappointing. I agree with some others, without ballons, it is hardly a "balloon" festival. I would not reschedule this event next year.

It was a suggested activity not a planned group activity. -
It was OK. Really disappointed due to the fact that the balloons wasn't even around when I got there. I understand it not being flown due to the high winds but I was kind of expecting them to be on the ground and at least something to see. But overall I still enjoyed it. Just didn't think the price was worth it. -
I didn't get a chance to make it out to the 15th Annual Hot Air Balloon, Wine and Music Festival. I spent the majority of the day preparing for an all-day photo outing at the Shenandoah National Park on Sunday, and plus it was a windy day, so I knew there wasn't going to be any hot-air balloon activity going on, so I had to miss it. I hope it was good for the members that made it. I'm looking forward to the next outing. -

Beautiful day and incredible setting. Personally I was disappointed with my shots. This had nothing to do with the setting or meetup and everything to do with the snapper and his equipment! -
I was late as something else came up.I started at around 2PM and because the GPS took me to another entrance and had to walk around in the park without knowing where the race was happening.Finally got directions from some one and drove over to the right entrance and could see only the last race.It definitely seemed a great event even though I couldn't see it in full. -
Had a wonderful time, weather was awesome, and I even managed not to get ran over by a horse! LOL! Thanks Barbara and John. :)— Viola

It was a beautiful day, which helped considerably. It was an unhosted event. It would have been nice to hook up with some other Meetup members. Instead, it was a solo effort. I did briefly talk with a couple of other photographers, though.— Fred

Had a good time shooting and it could not have been better weather for an outdoor event. This event helped me realize several things I need to work on to get better action shots.
