Most of us have a couple of shots that we are really proud of. It might be an incredible shot of a storm or it could be a portrait that just came out perfectly.
Unfortunately for many of us, these gold shots are few and far between. Sure, we can get the occasional brilliant photo, but we find it hard to put together time after time. Don't worry, most of us have the same problem!
The thing is that by taking your time with a few basic skills, you can greatly increase the chances that you are going to increase your average for getting that great shot. The funny thing is that none of these skills are particularly difficult.
Tonight's Workshop: Show & Tell!
In tonight's workshop, You are the Star. We will be discussing and critiquing your images. We have given many workshops and have scheduled a lot of field trips - show us what you've got! Bring us your best and allow fellow snappers to comment on your work.
Please bring 3 of your BEST digital images (JPEG) on a thumb drive or memory card, so we could provide feedback on the images. Be prepared to talk about your images. There are no losers, only winners. This is NOT a competition. Comments and critiques will be provided by John, Bill, Jerry, and other workshop members. This is a time to share your story of the image and allow us to make constructive comments.
Skills level: The concepts discussed in this workshop are basic elements of photography, but the discussions may get in depth.
This is a hands-on workshop and audience participation is highly encouraged.
Keep those shutters snapping.
Excellent session, lots of great images and good discussion.
Looking forward to future events and learning from the generous attendees!!
Wouldn't it be nice to upload all the pictures we discussed yesterday into a photo album here?... :-)
Hm, I didn't think of that. Well a little too late to upload the photos, I cleared them from my system. Sorry!
Maybe the photographers may want to upload them now? And we can comment on them right here... or even create/discuss different cropping solution with their permission... I wasn't very impressed with a chinless cropping of one of the photographs we discussed yesterday... think we could do better... Just a thought... :-)
I just want to thank everyone that put this meetup together. Instruction from pros and everyone else - priceless. I learned more last night in two hours than ever before. I'm excited for future meetups (and moving past Microsoft Picture Manager). Thanks All.
