 s on basic digital photograph workflow using the newest version of Lightroo
 m. The session will cover the basic features and methods of using Lightroom
  to catalog\, adjust and process your images after capture. We will also co
 ver tips & tricks and some advanced techniques. Both Mac and Windows versio
 ns will be available.  Lightroom has many more features than can be covered
  in one session\, but this will get you started in using Lightroom and unde
 rstanding why this is an important tool for the photographer.  If you have 
 a laptop with Lightroom 3.0 installed\, you are welcomed to bring it and fo
 llow along. Time will be limited\, so discussions of advanced features will

 ightroom/100972080    Most of us have a couple of shots that we are really 
 proud of. It might be an incredible shot of a storm or it could be a portra
 it that just came out perfectly.  Unfortunately for many of us\, these gold
  shots are few and far between. Sure\, we can get the occasional brilliant 
 photo\, but we find it hard to put together time after time. Don't worry\, 
 most of us have the same problem!  The thing is that by taking your time wi
 th a few basic skills\, you can greatly increase the chances that you are g
 oing to increase your average for getting that great shot. The funny thing 
 is that none of these skills are particularly difficult.  Keep those shutte

DESCRIPTION:Unexpected Treasures\n\nIf my calculations are correct\, on Sep
 tember 23rd\, 2010 at 7:00 PM\, the full moon will rise at 81.8 degrees eas
 t of north. The alignment of the Capital Building\, Washington Memorial and
  Lincoln Memorial are 90 degree east of north. This should have the moon ri
 se directly over the buildings (weather permitting).  I suggest a meetup at
  5:30 at the Carrilian just off Route 50. Plan to park at the Iwo Jima Memo
 rial and walk toward the Carrilion Tower in the direction of Arlington Ceme
 tary. We will meet at the base of the tower.  Note: We will not be alone! I
 t is common event so several hearty photographers are at this position for 
 the event.  Bring telephoto zoom lens\, a tripod and shutter release. A sma

SUMMARY:Wolf Sanctuary of PA
DESCRIPTION:Unexpected Treasures\n\nThis is a special situation that allows
  us to photograph wolves in their natural environment and support the Wolf 
 Sanctuary. This is not a cheap trip. The fee for photographing the wolves i
 s $75.00 for a 3-hour session (payable at the venue\, credit cards OK). In 
 addition\, you need to pay for your own food and contribute gas money to th
 e drivers. We have intentionally limited the quantity of people on this tri
 p to prevent overwhelming the venue.  November 6 will be after the fall lea
 ves drop and the grass is low to assure more unobstructed photographs of th
 e wolves. I have been told the fall is the best time\, so I chose Saturday 
 Nov 6th. This should be able to give people plenty of notice to make plans 
 for it. If we are lucky\, we might have some snow!  The plan is to leave a 
 centralized location probably in Reston at 10am.  Drive up to Lilitz\, PA a
 nd arrive somewhere around 1pm.  Grab some lunch and get to the Sanctuary a
 round 2:15ish.  Shoot from 2:30p - 5:30p.  Figure out a possible dinner pla
 n if people are interested.    Please post in the message forums if you can
  drive and how many people you can take.  Also please post in the same thre
 ad any questions you may have and I will confirm with the sanctuary.\n\nLit
