Most of us have a couple of shots that we are really proud of. It might be an incredible shot of a storm or it could be a portrait that just came out perfectly.

Unfortunately for many of us, these gold shots are few and far between. Sure, we can get the occasional brilliant photo, but we find it hard to put together time after time. Don't worry, most of us have the same problem!

The thing is that by taking your time with a few basic skills, you can greatly increase the chances that you are going to increase your average for getting that great shot. The funny thing is that none of these skills are particularly difficult.

Tonight's Workshop: It's All About Exposure!

Tonight we are explore the world of exposure. We will discuss the relationships between aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. It is possible to get that picture that you want if you know a few simple tips and tricks.

Skills level: The concepts discussed in this workshop are basic elements of photography, but the discussions may get in depth.

This is a hands-on workshop and a camera is required. Please bring your camera and your questions. If you have not used your camera in awhile, or your camera is new to you, please bring along the users manual.

Keep those shutters snapping.

The library entrance after-hours is on the side of the building nearest the parking lot. There is a service door near the A/C units. I will check the door every 15 minutes or you can call my cell phone at [masked].

I have opened up some more slots. This is a large class; I like to keep them a little smaller to keep it personable. I will have to see how things go for future workshops. For those on the waiting list, if you're still able to attend with a short notification, keep on eye on your email for any last minute cancellations.

There has been a lot of interest in the workshops and I apologize for placing a limit on the number of attendees. I really need to keep the numbers down around 12-24 to manage the class. If anybody can help identify an alternative location to hold a second class, I would be more than willing to teach one.
