From last year's experience, the fireworks are shot off from from the Herndon Golf Course. For front row seats, be at the bike path and Ferndale.

Meeting outside the library, shouldn't be too busy up that end. Have never been before though...
Only tips I can give is use a tripod and a remote!
Joanne, where are we meeting? I will likely ride my bike from Reston and will need to have a good linkup location. Hey, are you giving lesson on firework photography? I am going need some tips.
